EPSRC UK National Quantum Technology Hub in Sensors and Metrology – Network Funding

The Quantum Technology Hub for Sensors and Metrology has established a fund totalling £250,000 to support formation of a national network of academic institutions, industry and end-users that will promote translation and collaboration activities. The fund is being administered by the University of Nottingham.

This fund is open to applications from PhD students, Post-Doctoral Research Assistants, and academic staff of Higher Education Institutions from both inside and outside the Hub. This will enable individuals to visit Hub members’ laboratories or relevant industry facilities, where such visits can demonstrably foster engagement and collaboration that will assist with the delivery of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme.

Funding will be made available on a reimbursement basis, with approval required prior to commencement of travel. Approval will enable reimbursement to be claimed for economy class travel, accommodation, meals and reasonable incidentals in accordance with University of Nottingham Travel and Expenses guidelines.

Applicants are urged to consider how funds can be most effectively used and seek to minimise allowable costs and avoid unnecessary expenses. All claims will need to be supported by original receipts, with reimbursement capped to the amounts approved prior to undertaking travel.

The application forms are set out below:
