Date postponed: Open day for cold atoms PhD students

The Quantum Technology Hub for Sensors and Metrology and the Cold Atoms Group are jointly hosting an open day for those wishing to undertake a PhD relating to cold atoms research.

The open day, which will take place on Tuesday 11th December at the University of Birmingham, will begin at 11:00am with lab tours led by Dr Giovanni Barontini in the Physics East building (on the second floor).

Following the lab tours, a formal welcome, introductions and a networking lunch will take place in the Alan Walters building (Room 111). The networking lunch will give students the opportunity to meet with key academics and prospective supervisors (listed below):

The Quantum Technology Hub undertakes the research and development of quantum sensors in collaboration with key UK industry partners such as Teledyne e2v, BP and Network Rail, making the Hub an ideal space for those wanting to explore how research can be transformed into real-world applications.
